Painting, for me, is an adventure. I begin each abstract with only a faint sense of colors and forms, allowing the work to guide my brush as the painting unfolds. I pause to consider whether a bold sweep or a subtle accent, a flash of brightness or a shadow of depth, will keep the eyes moving and the story alive. My miniatures share the same spirit. They are rarely from photographs or sketches but from memories. They capture places and moments that have stayed with me.
